Our lab is glad to welcome Dr. Avleen Malhi as a visiting postdoc researcher for September 2019 at Trinity College Dublin Ireland. During Avleen’s stay at Trinity College Dublin, her research will be focused on automated machine learning (AutoML) and exploring Siamese neural networks (SNN) for algorithm selection in our recommender-system as-a-service for digital libraries Mr. DLib.
Avleen is a postdoc researcher at Aalto University Finland in the Department of Computer Science. There she is working with Prof. Kary Främling in the Adaptive Systems of Intelligent Agents (ASIA) research group. Prof. Kary Främling is an Adjunt Professor in Aalto University, Finland and Full Professor at Umeå University, Sweden. Avleen’s postdoc work is about explainable AI and IoT standards for smart city solutions. Avleen is further an Assistant Professor at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, India from where she earned her PhD in Security of vehicular networks in 2016. Her research interests include IoT, information security and Explainable Artificial Intelligence.
