I am very happy to have received an Outstanding Senior Program Committee (SPC) Award at the 20th ACM Conference on Recommender Systems (ACM RecSys 2026).

ACM RecSys is the premier international conference in my research field, recommender systems, bringing together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry. It is currently ranked A in the ICORE/CORE conference ranking. This year’s conference takes place from September 28 to October 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fittingly for its 20th edition, RecSys has returned to Minnesota, where the first RecSys conference was held in 2007.

As a Senior Program Committee member, I oversee the peer-review process for a subset of submitted papers. This involves soliciting reviews, coordinating the discussion among reviewers, following the discussion during and after the author rebuttal phase, and finally writing a meta-review and making a recommendation to the Program Chairs on whether a paper should be accepted.

This year, RecSys had 88 Senior PC members, and 10 of us received an Outstanding Senior PC Award — about 11% of the SPC. I am pleased to have my work in the review process recognized in this way.
